The Memory of Walking

This is a unit of 48 postcard size paintings which relate intricately to each other. The piece is an emotional response, during lockdown in May 2020, to my memories of walking the Scottish mountains and the impressions that Scotland's fascinating geology as left on me. It also reflects on the earth's permanency in contrast to our own vulnerability

The unit is curated in such a way that our eyes cross the gaps between individual pieces to create 'longer walks' while sudden breaks might trip us up.
